Meyer ist den Tanzwütigen seit Jahren als Improvisationsfreudiger Entertainer „Erobique“ bekannt, der die Grenzen zwischen Boogie-Piano und House-Disco seit einer gefühlten, wundervollen Ewigkeit in der Clubs dieser Republik auslotet.

Sophia Kennedy, ursprünglich aus Baltimore (USA) kam irgendwann nach Hamburg um dort Fim zu studieren, bis sie eines Tages bemerkte, dass sie sich fast nur noch für die Tonspuren interessierte. Dabei klingen ihre selbstkomponierten Songs stark von Soul und Folk inspiriert und erinnern an die große Musik von Carole King, Carly Simon oder Laura Nyro. Vergleiche mit denen Sophia Kennedy ob ihres jungen Alters allerdings wenig anfangen kann. Sie hingegen bewundert Laurie Anderson.

Das wiederum lässt erahnen, das die Shows auf der Tour eher eine Inszenierung werden als ein gewöhnliches Konzert.

„Ja, klar“, Carsten Meyer nickt zustimmend: „inszeniert wie ein Kindergeburtstag“.

Die gemeinsam von Erobique und Kennedy produzierte Single „Angel Lagoon“ erscheint im September.

Das Haus in der Robert Matzke-Str. 16 in Dresden ist eines der letzten linksalternativen Wohnprojekte der Stadt.

1999 besetzten Antifaschist_innen in Dresden einen Altbau im Stadtteil Pieschen. Seit dem ist es nicht nur ein Wohnhaus, sondern auch Veranstaltungsort für Vorträge, inoveranstaltungen, Konzerte und Partys. Die RM16 ist ein wichtiger Ort des Widerstandes gegen Neonazis und reaktionäre Politik in Sachsen. Deswegen waren das Haus und seine Bewohnerinnen, wie auch andere Projekte in Dresden, oft Ziel von Nenonaziangriffen. Allein von 2007 bis 2010 wurde das Haus 13-mal u.a. mit einem Molotowcocktail attackiert.

Jetzt hat das Projekt die Chance, das Haus zu kaufen – oder es zu verlieren. Deshalb braucht es Unterstützung
