The Chats show at Conne Island has been cancelled
we had been working on the show for years, so we are sad that the decision was made to move the show to a non-political location without even opening up the space for discussion.
We as Conne Island are getting more and more hate and boycott messages because of our fight against antisemitism. We’re regulary organizing panels and are having loads of arguments with bands, DJs & managements weekly about complex topics. we always offer space to initiate processes to find a solution.
We are currently working on a publication describing our situation, the boycott campaign against Conne Island and how we continue to handle these ongoing calls for boycott.
We attempted to talk with everyone involved, but there is no interest in talking. For some people it seems easier to look away from what’s going on these days.
